Hollywood pisses off DEA!

So just when I thought we were getting somewhere with all the positive cannabis references in Hollywood, the media promotes DEA propaganda! Illegal immigrants are growing cannabis in national parks and the agents are destroying their crop.

First of all, there would be no outlaw criminal crop farmers if Nixon hadn’t declared war on drugs pushing the controlled substance act through. Decriminalize the plant and there will be no more criminals.

Second, humans have a long history with cannabis farming. The plant was always viewed as a sacred gift from the gods. Only in the last 71 years has this miracle crop been demonized by white conservative racists who know that any boundary dissolving substance is a threat to the power they hold on the people. Cannabis is what many people want, which is obvious by the films and culture that is standing up and making their use public.

Third, cannabis once flourished in this country. It could be seen growing for miles, along the roads, in the back yard. Not until the 1937 prohibition of the weed, when it was eradicated and completely wiped out, did Americans think twice about the holy plant. Now it’s been reintroduced into national parks which are federally protected, you cant take a pine cone out of a park with out being fined, how can these agents go in and destroy 420,000 (420, ironic isn’t it) plants growing in national park soil? Are these plants not protected? Why not?

Cannabis will never be decriminalized as long as the republicans have a hold on the white house. Eight long shitty years they have been in office, just raping us. It makes me sad, but lets face it folks, the nazi’s have won...

DEA strikes again!

Proposition 215 protects distributors and patients of medicinal cannabis in the state of California, but federal law does not. Since the law was passed in 1996 the DEA has been raiding dispensaries, stealing the cannabis along with the money from the ATM machine, and collecting names. They made another hit in Culver City on Friday and left the place in a shambles. The LAPD just stands there as the drug enforcement officers bring to ruin a perfectly legal establishment.

Senator Barack Obama is an advocate of putting an end to these raids while McCain stands behind Bush when it comes to the DEA’s violent and shameful targeting. The question is if this is an important enough issue for Obama. President Carter tried to get Cannabis legalized and was shut down when an arrest for cocaine possession was dug up on a member of his administration. What fuck up is buried in the future Obama administration that will squelch all hope for ending the raids?

Why is cannabis still an issue? Have we not evolved since the days of Anslinger’s poisonous propaganda of Reefer Madness? What does the DEA gain from keeping cannabis a schedule I drug? Why is state law and federal law at war?
